Fridge wall update

The magnetic primer that I was so excited about did not live up to my expectations. If you wanted to let your child play with alphabet magnets this product would be wonderful or if you wanted to display a collection of magnets. However if like me you wanted to hang a calender or a magnetic clip holding life's clutter....forget it! I did find something that works great. My local hardware store carries pre-cut steel sheets in many sizes. I purchased three 22 gauge sheets at a cost of $5 each. We used 3M 77 Super spray adhesive to attach it to the inside panels of the pantry. Hubby spray painted them with Hammerite in silver to prevent discoloration. My fridge may not be beautiful but at least its clutter free! Here is a sneak peak at the inside of one door.

We have also made some progress on the fridge wall. Hubs boxed in the fridge and installed the base cabinet. The plywood base for the granite tiles has also been installed. We are waiting for delivery of an outside corner and one edge stone. In the pictures below we are attaching the bead board panels. Painting is currently underway.

I took advantage of a sale at the store I work for and my employee discount. Saving half off the regular price of some baskets. For now these will be used to fill the gap between the fridge and the open cabinet over it. When we eventually buy a new fridge the baskets will be moved to the cabinet above the fridge. They fit perfectly!

This is where the baskets are now.

Here is where the baskets will eventually end up.

My mission this week is to get everything painted and trimmed out.

Wow, it's really coming along. I love the baskets. I have to say you inspired me with your jars, and I ran to Target and picked some up, love them!

Fantastico! As I mentioned earlier, PB has stainless steel magnetic panels about the same size for $79. You did 3 for only $15 - you're amazing and so very smart!
